Neighborhood Stabilization 3 Program

CITY OF NEWARK, NJ
PROPOSED AMENDMENT
HUD CONSOLIDATED PLAN

On or about March 1, 2011, the City of Newark is proposing to amend its FY 2010 HUD One-Year Action Plan by adding the following new activity: Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 (NSP3). This program will make available to the City $2, 018,637.00 for the financing, acquisition, rehabilitation, redevelopment or demolition of eligible vacant or abandoned properties in targeted areas, as allowed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. All funds will be used to benefit low, moderate and middle income households. A copy of this plan shall be made available in its entirety to the public in the Office of the City Clerk and posted here on the City’s website. Source of funds: U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development $2,018,637.00 Newark residents are invited to comment on this proposed amendment through
