The last day to register to vote for the upcoming May 11, 2010 Newark Municipal Election is Tuesday, April 20, 2010.  The Office of the City Clerk locate at City Hall, 920 Broad Street, Room B-9 will be open to the public until 9:00 P.M. on that date for those who wish to register to vote.  

To obtain a Voter Registration Form you may down load the form from www.essexclerk.com/election_registration.html.  

You may also pick up a voter registration form from the following locations:

                  •    the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Room B-9

                  •    the Commissioner of Registration, Hall of Records, 465 Martin Luther King Blvd, Room 429, Newark, NJ

                  •    a Motor Vehicle Agency office.


A completed form may be returned in person to the following locations:

                  •    the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Room B-9; or

                  •    the Hall of Records, Commissioner of Registration, 465 Martin Luther King Blvd, Room 429, Newark, NJ

Or a completed application can be sent to the Commissioner of Registration, P.O. Box 690, Newark, NJ 07101-0690
